Effective communication with people with disabilities begins with an evaluation of attitude, power, and prejudice.  This session will have the participants exam-ine the role that power plays in their interactions with those with disabilities and will give each an opportunity to practice new ways of understanding, listening and relating to people with intellectual disabilities.  Limited seating. 

Location: Operating Engineers Training Institute, 12580 County Road 2,  Morrisburg. ON

Cost: $100 per person per workshop, if 5 or more $80 per person. Continental breakfast and lunch provided.  If this presents a financial hardship please advise.
