Back to School and Students Rights!

Date:
Aug. 31, 9am - 4pm

Every student has the right to a full and inclusive education. As the school year begins, we want to inspire greater academic possibilities, especially for students who have an intellectual disability.

Join education advocate, Marilyn Dolmage as she discusses what can be done to protect students rights, how to navigate the school system, and improve education for students of all abilities. Marilyn assists schools and families ...to work together to improve education. She communicates with a
broad network of allies across Ontario, sharing information and inspiration about the law, research, provincial policies, effective education practices, career development and advocacy strategies. She has co-ordinated a variety of projects of The Ontario Coalition for Inclusive Education and its member associations since 1995.

Who should attend?
Families are invited to learn how to advocate on behalf of their sons and daughters for a fully inclusive and meaningful school experience.
